Browning's Sonnets

Elizabeth Barrett Browning wrote Sonnets from the Portuguese in 1850. It is a collection of 44 love sonnets to her future husband, and because of their intimate nature, the title was given as a way of pretending that they were her translations of Portuguese poems, rather than here own writing.
